Christian Czech is heading the Rare Disease Research Unit of Pfizer, France. He is a molecular biologist by training and did his PhD at the University of Heidelberg on animal models for Alzheimer’s disease. He did his postdoc at the Center for Molecular Biology in Heidelberg and afterwards continued his career in the pharmaceutical industry at Rhone-Poulenc Rorer in France. Subsequently he was recruited by Roche Basel, working on disease of the brain, in particular neurodegeneration. Christian moved then to biomarker as a biomarker leader and biomarker section head in Roche early clinical development. Later he joined the Pfizer Rare Disease Unit where he leads a group of scientists working on various projects in Rare Diseases.
